Hanroux du Plooy is the Group Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) at BCS, bringing over 25 years of deep-seated expertise to the telecom and provider ecosystem. As a highly accomplished network architect, engineer, technology strategist and developer, his broad experience covers the entire operator services stack, enabling him to design, optimize and deploy massive-scale provider networks end-to-end.
Throughout his career, Hanroux has held pivotal engineering, design and technical leadership roles at major regional and international industry giants, including MTN Business, Internet Solutions, EOH Network Solutions and Verizon SA. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he is also the founder of TransLTR, a specialized Networking, Security and DevOps consulting firm that helps Telcos and ISPs scale whilst futureproofing their critical infrastructure investments.
Hanroux’s technical acumen spans routing, switching, optical networking and complex MPLS deployments. His extensive DevOps automation experience seamlessly bridges the gap between traditional core infrastructure and modern cloud-based services through a network-as-code approach. At BCS, he leverages this extensive real-world operational experience to drive a forward-thinking technology strategy focusing on network optimization through robust digital transformation.
